Senior School Administration Officer

We are seeking a highly organised and approachable Senior School Administration Officer to join our team. This key role provides administrative support to the Director of Senior School and staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the College and contributing to an exceptional experience for students and families.

The Senior School Administration Officer is the central point of contact for staff, students, and families within the Senior School. This position requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

This position plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of College events, supporting the development of detailed schedules, communication with stakeholders, and the smooth delivery of activities that enhance the College’s culture and community engagement.

About the Role

As the Senior School Administration Officer, you will:

  • Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Director of Senior School, including managing a busy diary/calendar of events

  • Acting as the first point of contact for families, students, and visitors to the Senior School

  • Assisting with examinations, meeting schedules, reporting cycles

  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of Senior School events, excursions, camps, and co-curricular programs

  • Assist with event planning and logistics for Senior School functions, including parent evenings, assemblies, and celebrations

  • Liaise with other College departments (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, ICT, Facilities) to ensure smooth operations

  • Maintaining compliance with school policies, child safety requirements, and privacy legislation

About You

You are a confident and proactive professional with:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a school or educational setting

  • High-level experience with managing and coordinating events

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and parents

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems (experience with school management systems desirable)

  • A commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and child safety

  • Demonstrated knowledge of child safe practices including reporting requirements

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Year 9 Humanities and English Teacher to join our team at our Year 9 City Campus. This is a unique opportunity to inspire students during a pivotal stage of their learning journey, in an environment that values innovation, student voice, and real-world learning.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2026.

Our Year 9 unique program consolidates learning from Years 7 – 8 to provide a strong preparation for the independence and responsibility of Years 10 – 12. The City Experience challenges and encourages students to engage fully in learning and thinking. Child Safety at ELTHAM College

All staff at ELTHAM College are responsible for providing a safe environment and the protection of children and young people within our care, including promoting physical, emotional and cultural safety. All staff are responsible for reporting information about suspected child abuse. All staff share in the responsibility for the prevention and detection of child abuse and promptly raise any issues or concerns about a child’s safety. All staff are required to follow the School’s Child Safe policies and Child Safety Code of Conduct.

ELTHAM College takes a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and is fully committed to ensuring that its strategies, policies, procedures, and practices meet all Child Safe Standards as specified in Ministerial Order No. 1359 (2022). All applicants should refer to our Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct found at www.elthamcollege.vic.edu.au/abouteltham/policies/.
