Established in 2002 by the Catholic community, in partnership with the Anglican, Lutheran, and Uniting Churches in Jimboomba, our college is built on foundations of faith and community spirit. We are a part of a network of schools owned by Brisbane Catholic Education and administered by the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Named after The Road to Emmaus in the Gospel of Luke, our college reflects the belief that wisdom and understanding can grow from every interaction and encounter with God and with each other.
Emmaus College is an ecumenical, co-educational college committed to excellence in education, in a contemporary Christian education paradigm, serving students from Prep to Year 12.
Our Vison is "Excellence in learning within a contemporary Christian community". This represents our immersive and holistic approach to learning and growing, one that goes beyond academics, inspiring the whole students' purpose and potential in a vibrant, faith-centred community.
Emmaus College is a school, where those entrusted with the education of students teach them how to join the discoveries of human wisdom with the truth of the Gospel, so that they will be able to develop a healthy spirituality and lead faith-filled lives.
We operate within a Faith-centred, Christian Education Community.
We are welcoming and inclusive and engage in partnerships with families and the broader community.

Dear Parents and Caregivers
At Emmaus College, our commitment to educational excellence from Prep to Year 12 is rooted in our vision for learning: “Excellence in learning within a contemporary Christian community.”
This vision, encapsulated in what we proudly call “the Emmaus way,” permeates every aspect of college life, fostering the intellectual, spiritual, physical, social, emotional, ethical, and cultural dimensions of our students. The Emmaus way is practised through our four Signature Practices:
We believe that education is about nurturing the whole person within a caring, family-oriented community.
Our dynamic learning environment encourages students to discover and develop their unique gifts and abilities, equipping them with the academic and personal skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. Central to our philosophy is our motto, “Walking with Christ,” which guides the lived experience of our students. This ambition is not only hope-filled but also life-giving, shaping our students into young adults of integrity who are well-prepared to enter and positively impact the modern world.
We prioritize our students' wellbeing and foster a love of learning through a comprehensive pastoral care program, which supports the development of independence, self-confidence, and a strong sense of purpose. At Emmaus, every person matters. We ensure that every student is heard and inspired to be the best they can be in an inclusive community environment where learning outcomes are maximized, and diversity is celebrated.
Emmaus College’s excellent reputation is enhanced by our diverse and engaging co-curricular program. From our 4 acre farm as part of our agriculture program to our wide range of sports, music, and intellectual pursuits, students are presented with numerous opportunities to explore their passions and talents.
We believe in the strength of partnership between home and College, forming the foundation of our holistic educational approach. As partners in your child’s education, we will continue to walk together, supporting their journey of self-discovery and growth.
Yours sincerely
