Mentone Grammar is the benchmark for outstanding co-education in Melbourne’s Southeast, offering a progressive learning environment with wide-ranging opportunities for students from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12.

We are renowned for our successful Together-Apart-Together learning model, where students learn in single-gender or co-educational classes depending on the year level. This model, together with our Campus structure, offers the best of both worlds and provides the ideal learning environment for each defined age and stage.

We are conveniently located by the beach in the beautiful bayside suburb of Mentone with easy access to public transport and offer an extensive network of school buses.

We are also fortunate to own 17 hectares of quality sports playing fields at Keysborough and a beachside camp at Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula.

With a clear vision and mission, embedded values, and strong leadership, together with continued investment in the best staff and facilities, it is no wonder Mentone Grammar students consistently deliver some of the best results in the state. More importantly, our Mentonians graduate as Happy, Healthy and High Achieving young people ready to thrive in a world beyond school.

We understand that choosing the right school can be difficult, but our friendly Enrolments Team is here to support you every step of the way to make the best decision for your family. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions or for more information on our Learning and Teaching offerings, facilities and Community.

SO MUCH MORE THAN AN ATAR

Mentone Grammar takes great pride in celebrating the success and achievements of our students across academic, sporting, creative and personal pursuits.

The Mentone Grammar Community celebrates the Class of 2021 for their incredible achievements, dedication and determination throughout the year, which is reflected in our VCE and VCAL results.

Mentone Grammar Principal, Mal Cater, said he is incredibly proud of what they have achieved, despite all they have been through with the pandemic.

“Now is a time for celebration and to applaud these incredible young people for their commitment and resilience throughout their final years. Not only did they adapt to a constantly changing landscape, they also banded together in the most incredible show of solidarity to support one another and become stronger in the face of adversity.”

"… when I think back on my time at Mentone Grammar, it is not my ATAR or the fact that I got Dux which stands out. Rather, it is what I learnt and experienced, whether it was academics, sport, friendships made, music or about myself. And for that, I can only thank my teachers, coaches, friends and family."

JOSEPH SHIM, DUX – CLASS OF 2021

  • 6 Study Scores of 50

menntonePrimcipalWELCOME TO MENTONE GRAMMAR

As a school with a 100-year history, we understand that the educational environment is one of change.

Our learners need to be empowered with the knowledge, skills, and personal attributes to thrive in today’s complex digital world.

To achieve this, we embrace the holistic development of every student. Our highly acknowledged Together-Apart-Together co-educational model provides the best of both worlds and supports every student to achieve their personal best and find their own definition of Happy, Healthy and High Achieving.

With six age and stage campuses on one site, our educational environment supports the physical, social, and emotional growth of every student.

Each Campus provides a safe, welcoming cohort experience where students feel valued, heard, and celebrated for their differences.

This helps create that all important sense of belonging that is fundamental to the development of physical and mental health, and critical to achieving personal success.
