Conveniently located in Melbourne’s South-East, Oakleigh Grammar offers excellence in coeducational learning from ELC through to Year 12. We are dedicated to building resilient lifelong learners and responsible global citizens by empowering young minds and putting students at the centre of all we do. We ensure each child is nurtured and cared for at a personal level, by exceptional educators who are dedicated to their students and their profession. Founded in Orthodox Christian values and Hellenic traditions, Oakleigh Grammar boasts a multicultural environment where a zest for life is encouraged, good citizenship is celebrated and academic scholarship is our mainstay.
Further to a strong academic curriculum, Oakleigh Grammar students are exposed to a range of social experiences within both Oakleigh and the broader community. Character-developing programs such as the SRC, The Leader in Me and the International Baccalaureate give students the capacity to grow socially during their school life.
Beyond the classroom, students can choose to take part in private or group music tuition, ensembles, choirs and sporting teams. They can also participate in various Learning Enhancement programs such as Chess Club, Games Room, Art Club, Robotics Club, Tournament of Minds, GATEWAYS and Debating. Students link their classroom learning with the outside world through The Leader in Me process, as well as camps and excursions throughout the school year.
Our Early Learning Centre is inspired by the proven Reggio Emilia philosophy, offering our students a wide variety of engaging, hands on learning provocations.
In the Junior Years at Oakleigh Grammar we introduce our students to the success mindset of the ‘7 habits of highly effective people’. By teaching our students the 7 Habits from Prep, they have the mindset from a young age for a successful education.
In the middle years at Oakleigh we follow the highly acclaimed International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, a rigorous and challenging programme that fosters skills in communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement, qualities that are essential for life in the 21st century. The Middle Years Programme’s focus on excellence in education, gives students the confidence and skills to succeed in life.
At Oakleigh Grammar our students are not just a number that’s why in the Senior School we take personal responsibility in ensuring our students are not just academically prepared, but also prepared for their careers and life after school.
Our highly successful Arrowsmith program addresses learning deficits in dyslexia, dysgraphia, auditory processing and memory, and aims to return students to mainstream classrooms in two to three years. This is achieved by identifying and strengthening weak cognitive capacities.
Oakleigh Grammar is a school that wholeheartedly embraces its students by cultivating a very unique, internationally minded learning community. In fact, parents often remark that the young people at our School are more like members of an extended family such is the individual care and attention they receive. We are confident that we provide a truly welcoming environment with opportunities for all students to achieve their personal best.
At Oakleigh Grammar, we value each and every student. We offer a genuine commitment to ensure your child will be engaged through a range of contemporary learning programs.
There is truly something for everyone and every effort is made to encourage student participation in activities and programs that are both authentic and meaningful. Oakleigh Grammar is rapidly becoming a school with an international focus including regular acknowledgment and exploration of cultural diversity through various aspects of daily life at the School. We believe that supporting internationalism at our school is not only a true representation of Melbourne’s multiculturalism but a critical mindset for our young people to absorb as they move into a rapidly changing internationally minded society.

Oakleigh Grammar manages a private bus fleet offering safe and friendly door-to-door pick-up and drop-off across Melbourne. Our buses are driven by Oakleigh Grammar staff members, who all maintain a current Working With Children Check and are part of the School Community.
Families may choose both morning and afternoon services or a one-way (morning or afternoon) service. The fee for using the bus is added to the student’s account at the start of each Term and payable with regular school fees.
Availability and routes may vary periodically depending on demand and individual student requirements.
An example of our transport reach can be found on this Google Map

At Oakleigh Grammar, we wholeheartedly foster ‘a zest for life’ in our approach to education and life. We are large enough to offer leading-edge programs, and small enough to enjoy a loving close-knit community. In fact, parents often remark that the young people at our School feel more like members of an extended family, such is the individual care and attention they receive.
We put students at the centre of all we do and I am exceedingly proud of our exceptional educators who are dedicated to their students and their profession.
We believe that supporting internationalism is critical for our young people as they move into a rapidly changing internationally-minded society.
Together with our caring and committed staff, I wholeheartedly welcome you to Oakleigh Grammar!
