More than 1,700 day and boarding students from Year 5 to Year 12 call St Joseph's Nudgee College their school. Of these students, more than 315 are boarders who call Nudgee College their home from home. Our boys are passionate about their school, learning, and making the most of every opportunity.

At Nudgee College, our academic program is built to liberate the hearts and minds of future leaders. Our learning culture is underpinned by a broad curriculum, delivered using evidence based practice for the purpose of strengthening student engagement, enhancing learning outcomes and opening up extensive pathway options beyond school.
The beauty of Nudgee College is everything is in one place. Our 136-hectare site houses:
An auditorium
Basketball courts - both indoor and outdoor
Conference Centre
Chapel
13 fields
Two gyms
Oval and running track
Two swimming pools
Skills and training facilities
Tennis courts
Rowing and recreational facility at Wyampa Road
And even a place for our 20+ tonne of cattle!
As a member of the Queensland Greater Public Schools (GPS) Association, the College provides a healthy and social opportunity for large numbers of boys to take part in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities. These include Cricket, Debating, Rowing, Swimming, Volleyball, Cross Country, Football, Tennis, Basketball, Chess, Rugby and Track and Field. There are many other clubs and teams that students can be part of, including Theatresports, various music ensembles and bands, and Cattle Club.

Nudgee College Boarding is a true home away from home for our students. With a comprehensive pastoral care system including a Head of Boarding House, Assistant Head of House, House Mother, and a wealth of supervisors, as well as on-site healthcare, chefs, learning support staff, and more, this network of care ensures each boarder has a wide array of staff members they can reach out to for support.

The Bathersby Boarding Village is a home away from home. Individual rooms provide a sanctuary for the boys to call their own. Academically, boarders are given every opportunity to thrive through the Reach for the Stars academic tutoring program. Teachers across a range of subjects assist boys with ongoing homework and assignments, as well as preparation for exams.

The dedicated staff, including Heads of Boarding House, House Mums and Supervisors, provide a supportive home-like environment. The on-campus Health Centre is staffed with highly skilled and caring nurses 24/7, with doctors, dentists, podiatrists and physiotherapists on call.

Outside of the campus, students are treated to various activities and outings planned by the dedicated Recreation Coordinator, including trips to theme parks or sporting matches, cinema or shopping centre visits, laser skirmish, hiking, beach outings, futsal competitions, and much more.
