The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC) is a vibrant community in which students from Kindergarten to Year 12 are afforded a wonderful array of learning opportunities, as well as receiving all the support and encouragement needed to assist them to achieve their ambitions. The College is a non-selective Christian co-educational school that delivers a holistic approach to education, recognising that all students are different, with diverse interests, strengths, challenges and learning styles. The College provides all students with a dynamic, inspiring and positive learning community.

Providing quality and considered pastoral care lies at the heart of all we do. Our highly-skilled teachers are constantly striving to improve the way we nurture and care for our students, and providing opportunities for all students to experience success is central to our thinking and strategies.

Curriculum
The learning journey at The Springfield Anglican College aims to develop mindful students who are innovative, ambitious, resilient and proud of their individual achievements. The curriculum extends and supports students, creating pathways to prepare them for an increasingly diverse and technologically driven world.

The Learner Behaviours are used as a vehicle for instilling core skills throughout all aspects of the curriculum, developing students who are:

• effective communicators;
• reflective and self-directed learners;
• active investigators;
• critical and creative thinkers;
• personally and socially aware; and
• technologically savvy.

As students move through their schooling, a greater focus is placed on creating individual pathways for each student, including appropriate subject selection. Students may choose to enhance their learning options, including vocational study or university study, particularly in Senior School.

Our innovative curriculum is tailored to develop our students' critical thinking skills, global perspective, core values (respect, integrity and courage) and a desire for lifelong learning.

Cocurricular: Performing Arts

Performing Arts is a vibrant and highly active department within the College and the wider community. Performing Arts incorporates the disciplines of Music, Drama, and Dance. All staff within these subject areas are highly-qualified and experienced educators who regularly participate in professional development within their respective fields.

Involvement in the Performing Arts helps students to develop critical and abstract thinking and develops personal attributes, including commitment, self-discipline, teamwork and confidence. The College offers many opportunities for students of all ages to be involved in the Performing Arts within the curriculum and the cocurricular program.

On the Secondary Campus, instrumental music lessons in strings, woodwind, brass and percussion are available with highly-qualified professionals.

Cocuricular: Sporting Program

The College provides sporting opportunities for all students in Year 4 through to Year 12. The College is a member of The Associated Schools (Junior TAS) and the Greater Brisbane Conference (GBC) and competes throughout the year against independent schools in a range of sports and carnivals.

The College fosters a philosophy of participation for all and values the importance of physical activity for life and offers a full and inclusive sporting program. All students are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of activities offered. These cocurricular opportunities encourage students to develop sports-related skills, sportsmanship, team spirit and enjoyment.

TSAC is a centre of sporting excellence that provides multiple pathways for all students to develop their potential, ensuring access to elite sporting opportunities.

The Springfield Anglican College's Positive Education Framework 'Learn and Flourish' forms the overarching structure of the College’s strong and supportive Pastoral Care Program.

As a College community, TSAC strives to enhance the lives of all our students so they can flourish, and are confident in their identity, assertive in their social interactions, loving towards themselves and others, resilient to life’s inevitable setbacks and engaged in activities that embrace their strengths and passions.

The College’s Positive Education Framework has been developed with both students and staff in mind, to build upon the already strong foundation of positivity and optimism that supports engagement, enjoyment, relationships and social connectedness, all of which enhance academic and professional achievement and personal well-being.

The Springfield Anglican College is a place of great warmth, purpose and community spirit where our students are at the centre of all we do.

For more than 20 years, The Springfield AnglicanCollege has laid the learning and faith foundation that has helped shape the future lives of thousands of students.

The College educates more than 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across two expansive campuses and continues to be the preferred schooling choice for families living in and around the flourishing satellite city of Greater Springfield.

We believe all students have the ability to achieve individual success and excellence; to seek understanding, ask questions and investigate different ways to learn.  Through curiosity and tenacity, they develop a deeper understanding of the world and how it works. Together, our College Community is seeking a future focussed, real-world educational approach that fosters the development of flexible, creative and resilient thinkers.

Grounded in Christian values, the Anglican nature of our College encourages us to embrace diversity, accept and honour all people and strive for excellence in moral, intellectual, physical, social and cultural areas of life.

We want your child and your family to experience all that The Springfield Anglican College has to offer. I invite you to visit the College at an Open event or on a Campus tour, where you will find it is a place where students are afforded powerful learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom.

I look forward to welcoming you to the College.

Steven Morris
Principal

International students are a valued part of The Springfield Anglican College community. We look forward to welcoming students from all over the world to study with us and become part of our community.

Students who enrol to study at TSAC are supported by an International Program Coordinator who works with each student to ensure their transition is as smooth as possible. The coordinator will oversee the ongoing progress of each student, including academic, student care, and activities. They will be the main contact for host families and students throughout their time at the College.

In addition, all international students become a member of one of the College’s four Clans. These families within the community are led by a Head of Clan and a Clan Captain and provide pastoral and student care. Each Head of Clan is trusted with the responsibility of ensuring all students are happy and flourishing at school, and is a key person who will nurture communications and a strong relationship between the College and home.

International students have access to the College’s full and varied curriculum. They are also able to enjoy a wide range of co-curricular activities that includes music ensembles, choirs and bands; a number of competitive sports, including basketball, soccer and tennis; and a range of exciting clubs and activities such as chess club, science club and audio-visual club.
