TAS is proudly a smaller school by design and this enables the school to foster the success and character of the whole child.
We celebrate students with varied interests and skills. There is a sense of family and community that can be achieved in a smaller environment and in its most simple form, every child is known.

We are committed to providing a holistic education for our students that encourages them to be:

•    Spiritually aware
•    Intellectually alert
•    Culturally enriched
•    Socially responsible
•    Physically active
•    Emotionally resilient

Our curriculum gives each student opportunities to become successful learners, confident, innovative and creative individuals and active and informed citizens of the future. The Year 8 curriculum areas are based on the Australian Curriculum and include the following subjects:

•    English
•    Mathematics
•    Science
•    Personal Development, Health and PE
•    Humanities and Social Sciences – History, Geography
•    The Arts - Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Drama, Media Arts
•    Languages - French
•    Design, Technology and ICT
•    Christian Education

Students also participate in a range of wider curricular activities in leadership, cultural and sporting arenas.

On an annual basis, there are a limited number of opportunities for scholarships for students moving into Year 7 and Year 11. We have a global outlook that provides both rigorous and relevant pathways to accommodate the demands of contemporary society. Our school believes all students need strong relationships with staff and their peers, enabling them to reach their full potential and leave school as accomplished, aspirational and inclusive adults. We are committed to delivering excellence for all and have the desire to push the boundaries of learning and teaching.

Toowoomba Anglican School offers students a diverse, holistic education with a range of general excellence, academic, performing arts and sporting opportunities.

I am honoured and proud to be the Head of School at Toowoomba Anglican School. Founded in 1911, the school is one of Australia’s leading co-educational independent day and boarding schools for both Primary and Secondary aged students and is set in an idyllic location in beautiful Toowoomba, Queensland.

The aim of our school is to provide both day and boarding pupils with an exceptional education in all areas. The school aims to develop, in a disciplined and caring environment, the intellectual, cultural, spiritual, physical and social capacities of all its students, and to encourage and nurture their individual talents and abilities. It further aims to develop a responsibility to our community by demanding high personal standards and encouraging constructive citizenship and consideration for others.
