Montgrove College is more than a school—we’re a community of parents, staff and students who are committed to making a positive contribution to society through the development of character, academic learning and Christian living.

As parents, your mission is clear—to help your child flourish. Yet even the most devoted families can feel stretched, wondering how to support their child’s development amid busy schedules and modern challenges.

We understand because we’re parents too. We’re here to support you.

We’re a school where the role of the family in education comes first. As a school of the Pared Foundation (Pared), a network of Independent Catholic Schools inspired by the teachings of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, our role is twofold: to provide for your child’s overall development, and to partner with you so you can become even more competent educators of your children. In doing so, we support—not replace—your irreplaceable influence in your child’s life.

At Montgrove, our personalised system of education features our 1-on-1 Mentoring System which ensures that our educational input is effectively tailored to the individual student and facilitates the partnership between home and school. It was pioneered by Pared in 1982 and is centred around education of the ‘whole person’ —integrating the pursuit of academic excellence, the acquisition of skills and the development of the student’s character.

The Pared Education System is based on the following principles:

  • The education of children is primarily the responsibility of parents and is determined to a great extent by the personal example of the parents themselves.
  • The student benefits most when there is harmony between parents and between home and school; therefore, parents and teachers should try to develop in the qualities they wish the students to acquire.
  • Teachers are vital partners with parents in a common endeavour. The basis of this partnership is a loyal and mutual understanding of each other’s complementary roles.
  • Parents and teachers need ongoing professional development as educators who are striving for excellence.

This vision continues today in hundreds of schools around the world, including Montgrove. Together, we create a safe and nurturing environment where each student is known, guided, and encouraged to grow—in mind, in spirit, and in heart.

At Montgrove, your daughter’s wellbeing is not an afterthought, it’s central to her growth. We believe that girls thrive when they feel safe, understood, and surrounded by people who care deeply about who they are and who they’re becoming.

At Montgrove, your daughter’s wellbeing is not an afterthought, it’s central to her growth. We believe that girls thrive when they feel safe, understood, and surrounded by people who care deeply about who they are and who they’re becoming. From daily interactions in the classroom to our one-on-one Mentoring System, every element of school life is designed to support each student socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our teachers, mentors and leadership team work closely together to create a school culture rooted in trust, respect and care.

We understand that every student’s journey is different. While many needs are met through the strong relationships formed with staff and mentors, additional support is available when needed. Our school counsellor offers guidance and a listening ear, working in partnership with families and teachers to ensure students feel heard and supported. Where additional support is needed beyond the school environment, we’re here to walk alongside families, offering direction and encouragement as they seek the right professional care.

Our Chaplaincy also plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual wellbeing of students and families—offering daily Mass, confession, and personal guidance to those who seek it.

Whether it’s a moment of encouragement from a mentor, a quiet chat with a teacher, or a deeper conversation about faith and direction, your daughter is never alone. Our approach to wellbeing is personal, proactive and deeply relational, ensuring that each girl is supported to grow in confidence, resilience and peace.

Mission Statement

Montgrove aims to provide the foundation that equips students with the skills to become leaders in society through:

  • Striving for excellence in all of one’s endeavours
  • Living a deep faith and having a high level of moral integrity
  • Having a genuine respect for the dignity of all
  • Recognising one’s duty to positively contribute to the family and society
  • Appreciating all that is good, true and beautiful

Montgrove acknowledges that every child is unique and, through the personalised Mentoring System, supports each student to be the best that they can be.

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Montgrove College. As you browse through these pages, I hope you will be able to gain insight into what makes our school such an exciting place.

Although a relatively young school, Montgrove has already developed a reputation for academic excellence and outstanding community spirit. We offer many opportunities for leadership, as well as a wide range of co-curricular activities in sport, the creative arts and public speaking.

We work in partnership with you as parents to ensure that all students receive a truly well-rounded education that not only caters to the students’ academic needs but also develops their character and leadership qualities.

Education at Montgrove looks beyond the school years and towards the future, equipping our students with the skills necessary to lead an authentic and enriching life. We cultivate a love of learning and a sense of responsibility that encourages students to use their knowledge and personal qualities to contribute to the good of the family and society.

Staff, students and parents work together to create a safe and welcoming community, the ideal environment for the personal, intellectual, social and spiritual growth of each student.

I feel privileged to be part of this community and I welcome you to attend one of our Open Days where I look forward to meeting you in person.
