OUR STORY
St Stephen’s School was the first School established by the Uniting Church (WA) following its inception in 1977, uniting Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches. The School was established in 1984 at the current Duncraig campus site. As Perth’s northern corridor continued to flourish the Carramar campus was built and officially opened in 2001. In 2011, an Early Learning Centre for Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2 opened at Hepburn Heights, Padbury completing St Stephen’s School’s multi-campus, co-educational Pre-K to Year 12 offerings for families in Perth’s North.
OUR MOTTO
The School’s motto - Serve God, Serve One Another is supported by our Service Learning program where St Stephen’s School students work with groups and communities on a local, national and international scale, to make their world a better place. These service opportunities, combined with our mission to inspire learning that transforms lives, shape our students into well-rounded graduates, who are ready to step into the world.
OUR STUDENTS
We welcome Students from all faiths and backgrounds into the St Stephen’s School community. In the Early Years our play-based learning program fosters curiosity and a growth mindset. In Secondary, our students are encouraged to follow their unique academic pathway through ATAR or Vocational Education opportunities. Throughout a student’s time at the school they are supported with pastoral care on a number of levels, including special programs for specific year groups, on site psychologists and a House program that fosters belonging, mentoring and leadership.
OUR COMMUNITY
They say being a student in today’s world is difficult, but so is being a parent, which is why we offer additional support through after hours workshops and guest lectures as well as large community events that foster connections with fellow parents.

From Our Principal
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to St Stephen’s School.
St Stephen’s is a Christ-centred, student-focused and community-based School. Our personalised approach to learning and strong tradition of high-quality teaching encourages St Stephen’s students to lay foundations for their chosen pathways.
Students flourish when values are aligned and the relationship between home and school is strong. We welcome not just students but their whole families into our close-knit community. Together we can cultivate success and produce mature and balanced young men and women.
The School’s motto to Serve God, Serve One Another is supported by our service learning program where St Stephen’s students work with groups and communities on a local, national and international scale, to make their world a better place.
These service opportunities, combined with our mission to inspire learning that transforms lives, shape our students into well-rounded graduates, ready to take their next step into the world.
Academic results provide a great foundation, and are encouraged at St Stephen’s. However, it’s qualities like flexibility, teamwork, service, leadership and humility – all acquired from a St Stephen’s School education - that prove most attractive and sought-after by employers in this constantly-changing world.
As a parent of two wonderful girls myself, our goal is to provide your child with a place where they belong to a community that gives them the best platform for their future.
I encourage you to attend one of our School tours where you can meet staff, talk to students and see the facilities and talents of our community.
I hope to see you soon.
